Board/Committees

BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The Board of Directors is comprised of seven (7) volunteer homeowners. Board Members serve for terms of three (3) years each. Terms are staggered with only two (2) or three (3) terms being up for election in any one year. Current Board Members and their terms are as follows:

President - Jared Thom
(Current Term: 2021-2024)
I moved to Old Stone Ranch in May 2019.  I am a licensed mortgage loan officer and have worked in the mortgage industry for the past 20yrs since moving to Arizona from Michigan in 2003. When I am not working or volunteering, I enjoy traveling and hiking with my wife and two sons.

I had served on the HOA Board in my previous community for 10yrs and was the HOA Board President for 6 of those years.  As an OSR Board member, my focus will be on ensuring fiscal responsibility, maintaining and preserving community assets, and on making improvements for the betterment of the community.  I am committed to keeping OSR a desirable place to live for all current and future owners.

Vice President - Jaime Votaw
(Current Term: 2023-2026)
Our family moved into OSR in May of 2008. We watched the community be built from the first shovel full of dirt Shea turned. We knew we wanted to live in OSR before one street was cut and one lot was laid out. We waited patiently for the area in OSR we wanted to live in to open up so we could put a deposit down on a lot. We walked our home every day during construction and enjoyed watching all the other homes in the community being built. We still enjoy this community and take great pride in being residents here.

With that in mind, I got involved a few years ago to help improve our community and ensure its lasting beauty. I started by serving on the Landscape Committee. Now, I am the VP of the Board, Landscape Committee Chair, and Playground Equipment Committee Chair.

I have 3 amazing kids from college age to high school age who have all grown up in OSR. My husband and I volunteer in various capacities within the soccer community in AZ from high school, club, to college. In any spare time I have, I love to bake and garden. My goal while serving on the OSR board is to make the community a beautiful and friendly place to live for all residents.

Secretary - Annette Mucha
(Current Term: 2022-2025)

Treasurer - Mary VandenBerg
(Current Term: 2022-2025)
My husband, Steve and I, have lived in OSR since February, 2009. I am an Arizona CPA and work for Porter Brothers, a local family-owned commercial construction company. I have been involved in non-profit Boards for orchestras and churches, and have experience with reviewing the books and preparing tax returns for several HOAs. You have probably seen me power walking around the subdivision and seen my husband trimming bushes and roses in the front yard. Steve is a School Psychologist for Gilbert Public Schools and our grown son, Morgan, is a Software Engineer with Amazon in Seattle. When not traveling or working, my husband and I enjoy gardening, listening to classical and jazz music, cooking and baking. My goal serving on the Board is to contribute financial expertise, ask good questions, and ensure transparency between the Board and the OSR homeowners.

COMMITTEES
Committees are appointed by the Board of Directors. With the exception of the Architectural Committee, Committees do not have decision-making authority. Committees may act as the primary point of contact for specific vendors, assist in obtaining proposals for projects, conduct research and provide analysis to the Board, and make recommendations to the Board. Best practices dictate that every committee be chaired by a member of the Board or at least have a Board liaison. Arizona Revised Statutes require the Architectural Committee to be chaired by a member of the Board.

Interested in Volunteering for a Committee? We are always looking for volunteers to fill our Committees. If you are interested in volunteering your time and efforts to serve your community, please Email Management.
